This conference is hosted by the Stanford Women's Community Center (WCC).The Women's Community Center exists to facilitate the success of women students at Stanford by providing innovative opportunities for scholarship, leadership, and activism.

Roxana Gharegozlou (roxyg@stanford.edu)
Roxana is a senior majoring in International Relations and minoring in Modern Languages (French and Spanish). This is her second year with SWLC, having previously served as an intern. This summer Roxana interned for TechWadi, a social venture fund that stimulates economic development in the Middle East through high impact technology entrepreneurship. Aside from her work with the Women's Center, Roxana is also a member of Stanford Marketing Group's Executive Board and is writing an honours thesis through the Center for Democracy Development and the Rule of Law.

Devanshi Patel is a Sophomore at Stanford University, majoring in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, and is founder of the Stanford chapter of Students For Education Reform, a national student-driven non-profit mobilizing the next generation of leadersto close the achievement gap. Devanshi has been featured in the award-winning documentary film Miss Representation for her involvement in civic engagement,especially of young women. At Stanford, Devanshi hopes to engage issues of women’s political empowerment with other areas such as Education Reform. Advisor

Faith Kazmi is the Director of the Stanford Women's Community Center (WCC). She oversees the implementation of the WCC mission which is to facilitate opportunities for scholarship, leadership, and activism at Stanford. Since she arrived at the WCC as Associate Director in 2006, she has been involved with the planning and implementation of the Stanford Women's Leadership Conference and now advises student coordinators who plan the program. In addition to her work at the WCC, she is passionate about international experiences. Last year she circumnavigated the globe on a floating university program, Semester at Sea. She also traveled with Stanford students to Bolivia as a staff advisor for the Impact Abroad program. Identifying the connections between people or issues is something that excites Faith, and she is thrilled to get to work with some of the brightest and most compassionate people around. Interns
